If you are visiting Amsterdam and want to avoid the chaotic centre but want easy access to it, then this apartment is ideal for you. Recently refurbished with an eye on comfort and style, the apartment is ideal for two couples or a small family traveling together. With wonderful features such as a gorgeous hard-wood floor, quality furnishings, elegant lighting and a small private terrace.

The living room combines with an open-plan kitchen and contains a two black leather sofas, a flat screen TV, a beautiful chandelier and an elegant dining table with seating for eight guests. The kitchen area is spacious and fully equipped with everything required to prepare a culinary delight such as an oven, a microwave and a hob.

The two bedrooms are both light and airy with large comfortable double beds in both and plenty of closet space. The bathroom has been completely remodeled and is fitted out with a bath and shower combination. For your comfort there is a washing machine, a dryer, an iron and board, a dishwasher, linen, towels and a hi-speed Internet connection. For quality and comfort, this apartment will help make your stay in Amsterdam a memorable one.

You’ll be staying in the peaceful green neighbourhood of Watergraafsmeer; the name can be translated into ‘Water Canal Lake’ and the story behind it is that it’s a polder – a reclaimed land pumped dry and adapted to residential use. It is also the lowest-lying area of Amsterdam. It used to be a home to many impressive estates built by rich Amsterdammers in the 17th and 18th century, and the nearby Park Frankendael is the only remaining example of those times.

You should definitely visit it to enjoy its romantic setting, gaze upon its amazing architecture, admire its blooming greenery, and – of course – check out the marvellous Restaurant De Kas in the beautiful suroundings of the park (who grow food in their own greenhouses!). Other noteworthy eating establishments are Merkelbach (also in the park) and Cafe Restaurant Dauphine (a bit to the west), but you will probably find some other smaller friendly places when exploring the district.

A bit further to the east you’ll find Amsterdam Science Park – a stately work of futuristic architectonic art, and a nice contrast to the otherwise ‘naturally-themed’ neighbourhood. If you head west, in turn, you’ll reach the picturesque bank of Amstel river, and if you follow it to the north, you’ll get a chance to take a nice walk along the city’s main ‘canal’, which will take you to the heart of Amsterdam with all of its major highlights. But be vigilant – some nice attractions hide on both sides of the river as well!
